A new sci-fi series has taken Netflix storm and left viewers on the edge of their seats - as fans demand a second season after an 'unexpected' open ending.
Parasyte: The Grey was released on the streaming platform on April 5, and the creepy thriller has already earned a cult following, with many fans having binged the series in one go.
The six-part series is based on the original manga Kiseiju, which was created by Hitoshi Iwaaki and is also six episodes long.
The action-packed Korean drama is set months after mysterious spores fall from the sky and begin infecting a number of citizens.
Jeong Su-in is a shop assistant who is infected by one of the unidentified parasites - but doesn't appear to be affected by their power.

Once the human mind has been inhabited and infected, the parasites are able to take control of it and sprout horrifying powers such as razor sharp tentacles from the host's head.
However, in Su-in's case, she's still in control of her mind, which makes her a valuable asset to a special task force, known as The Grey.

Well, it appears the answer lies in a potential second season, according to eager fans.
Taking to X, many viewers expressed their excitement over the 'amazing' new series, and their hopes for a subsequent season.
One person wrote: 'Finished Parasyte: The Grey. The very last scene was unexpected. A second season would definitely be interesting.'
Another said, 'Finished Parasyte: The Grey and I loved it! I hope they make a second season,' while a third wrote, 'Amazing adaption! Writers and directors took creative liberties and still nailed it! Can't wait for a possible second season!'

It comes as Netflix fans have recently become 'hooked' on a new foreign language crime drama.
Wrong Side of the Tracks follows an army veteran as he tries to exact revenge on the Madrid gang which kidnapped his adopted granddaughter.
All 32 episodes of the show - named Entrivas in Spanish, after the neighbourhood where it is set - are available with subtitles on Netflix.
