A.B. Quintanilla III, the brother and music producer of slain Texas icon and singer Selena, was booed by fans after unleashing an expletive-filled rant on a crowd in San Antonio Saturday night.
The self-proclaimed 'king of cumbia' who wrote Selena hits 'Como La Flor' and 'No Me Queda Más' later posted an apology on social media, blaming being off his meds for his tantrum.
He then deleted the mea culpa off his Instagram account.
Quintanilla can be seen on stage at the Tejano Explosion 2024 festival in San Antonio Saturday night, when he apparently became upset by the crowd and went off.
'Like someone put a gun to your head and forced you to be here tonight,' the singer said in rant that was captured by TikTok user @eat_teach_repeat.

AB Quintanilla wrote Selena hits like 'Como La Flor' and 'No Me Queda Más'
'That feels horrible as a musician to work so f--king hard over all these years to bring you hits and you guys come here and you can't even f--king raise your hands to f--king clap or be happy, man,' he lectured the crowd.
'That feels sad for us, and for me, I'll take my music somewhere else.'
Quintanilla threatened to never play a show in San Antonio again, whining that he had traveled to the Lone Star State from Las Vegas for the performance.
He went on to say the locals needed to support his band, just like they support the Dallas Cowboys 'who lose every year f--king year,' calling the Alamo City his hometown, even though he is a Corpus Christi native.
The chastising crossed the line as spectators started to boo at that point.

Selena (seen) had hired Yolanda - an adoring fan working as an in-home nurse in San Antonio - who soon ingratiated herself into the singer's inner circle
'Y'all can boo all you want,' he went on.
'Boo yourselves for not participating in the show.'
The next day, the music producer who formed his own band after his sister's 1995 death, apologized through a video posted his Instagram account.
Quintanilla revealed he has been undergoing health screenings due to concern he might have cancer in the weeks leading up this meltdown, according to local station KSAT.
His doctor advised him not to take prescribed medication to avoid tainting biopsy results, he claimed.
Yolanda Saldívar fatally shot the 23-year-old singer at a hotel in Corpus Christi, Texas , in March 1995, but has long maintained that it was an accident. She and Selena are seen in 1994
Selena (seen in 1994) had become one of the most celebrated Mexican artists of the 20th Century before she was shot and killed by Yolanda in 1995, at just 23 years old
'I broke last night. I said things that I don’t mean, that I don’t feel in my heart. From the bottom of my heart, I’d like to apologize to everybody,' Quintanilla said in the now-deleted video.
While he has not been diagnosed with cancer, the Tejano singer asked for understanding due to mental struggles he's faced since his sister's tragic passing when she was gunned down by the president of her fan club in 1995.
This isn't the first time AB as made headlines for misbehaving.
He landed on the 'Top 10 Most Wanted' list by the sheriff in Corpus Christi in 2017 for owning $87,000 in child support and having an active arrest warrant.
