Shen Yueyue, Vice-Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and President of the All-China Women's Federation, conducted an investigation of Nanchang and Jinggangshan cities, in East China's Jiangxi Province, from July 28 to 30.
Shen promoted the spirit of the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China in urban and rural communities, reviewed the Party's history at revolutionary sites, and communicated face-to-face with local women.
Shen urged women's federations at all levels to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech as the main task of Party history learning and education, to put their heart and soul into serving women, to unite and guide women to follow the Party's leadership, and to contribute to realizing the second centenary goal of building China into a great modern socialist country in all aspects.
During her investigation tour, Shen laid a flower basket at a martyrs' cemetery in Jinggangshan, expressing her deep respect for revolutionary martyrs. She learned about the Party's history at a revolutionary museum and a memorial hall. She also visited Gong Quanzhen, widow of Gan Zuchang (1905-1986, the late major general), who has demonstrated the true qualities of a CPC member through her dedication and hard work on rural education and the healthy growth of teenagers.
When talking with the descendants of some women revolutionaries, such as Kang Keqing and Zeng Zhi, Shen said it was necessary to make good use of revolutionary resources, sustain the revolutionary legacy and mobilize more women to publicize revolutionary stories, so that the revolutionary traditions can be carried forward.

In a village in Jinggangshan, Shen communicated with local women and representatives of the most beautiful families. She learned about the needs of their families and talked with them about the building of family, family education and family traditions.
When visiting a childcare center for infants under 3 in Nanchang, Shen said that childcare for children that age is an important livelihood issue related to the interests of women and their families, and that multiple measures should be taken to guarantee inclusive childcare services and help the implementation of the three-child policy.
Shen also expressed concern about primary school students and left-behind children (whose parents have migrated to other places for work) in rural areas. She urged the staff from the women's federation at the grassroots level to implement the campaign of caring for children in the summer vacation, and to help children enjoy a safe and happy vacation.

She urged carrying out the Women's Action for Scientific and Technological Innovation, pushing it to a higher level. She also encouraged local women to participate in the Women's Action for Rural Revitalization, to help build a beautiful countryside and create a better life.
